The class will involve techniques for home emergency care and discussion when to go to the emergency vet hospital. Knowledge will help you be calm and effective in an emergency, protecting you and your pet from further injury or suffering. Sometimes immediate care can make all the difference. Learn how to combat heat stroke, pet CPR, control bleeding, treating wounds, caring for eye, foot and ear injuries and other cat and dog first aid skills. Discussion will also include how to notice abnormalities and detect early warning signs in pets. You will also learn essential pre-vet care and life saving techniques for those times when immediate action can make all the difference. Your fee includes a starter first aid kit for your pet.

Classes are sometimes canceled due to lack of enrollment, so it is best to register as soon as possible. Don’t take a chance that your class may be full or canceled. Please note that all classes, even if free, require pre-registration.
Please remember to PRE-REGISTER for any Community Education class(es) you are interested in attending–even if there is no fee. We don’t want you to miss out so register early. Each class has a maximum capacity. Once we reach capacity, you will be placed on a waitlist for any openings or future classes offered. Also, if participation numbers are low, classes will be canceled due to lack of enrollment. All individuals that have pre-registered will be notified if the class is being canceled.
