Peter Pan Musical & Theater Production
June 26 – July 1, 2023 | Perham, Minnesota
Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre’s “PETER PAN” tells the story of Peter Pan, the boy who wouldn’t grow up. He spends his days adventuring with all the inhabitants of Neverland but one day he flies to a far-off land where he meets Wendy, John, Michael, and their nursemaid Nana. They fly away with him to Neverland and our adventure begins! Up to 83 local children can participate in the roles of the spirited Peter Pan, wise and brave Wendy, her brothers John and Michael, their nursemaid Nana, Peter’s fairy friend Tinkerbelle, the hilariously hungry crocodile, the silly beasts, the scheming pirates, the motherless lost kids, and the baseball playing Indians.

Parents Should Know:
ALL individuals registered will have a part in the play. If you are not interested in “acting” on stage, there are also positions available assisting the directors and helping with costumes, sound, and lighting. The Prairie Fire Children’s Theater directors will work with the students through games and activities and then conduct the auditions as well as direct the production and play. Auditions on Monday typically last about 2 hours. Use your “loud” voice while auditioning. Your child can be expressive as they desire. Roles are available for singers, nonsingers, dancers, nondancers, and anyone with enthusiasm for theater! The cast will be announced at the end of the two-hour audition; each cast member will receive a rehearsal schedule for the remainder of the week. After that, depending on casting, some of the kids will stay for the remaining 2 hours, and the rest will be dismissed.
Bring a snack and water bottle each day. Friday they will pack a bag meal. Attendance is required unless communicated with the directors. Parents are invited to record this event if they wish. No flash photography. There will be photos taken at the end of each show. Seating is general admission, first-come, first-serve. Tickets to the show: $5/adult and $2/students at the door (5 & under free). Admission will be taken about a ½ hour before each performance. Parents wishing to volunteer with hair and make-up are needed. If you are interested in sound and lights, please contact Kitti at kkivi-lex@frazee.k12.mn.us.
