Hurry and register\, as spots are limited based on age groups! \n  \nSHOW SYNOPSIS \nWritten and Conceived by Jim Caron\nMusic and Lyrics by Jim Caron and Michael McGill \nThe Missoula Children’s Theatre takes pride in presenting TREASURE ISLAND\, an original adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s epic novel. Young Jim Hawkins\, a mischievous lad\, lives with his Mother and six Sisters in a seaside village on the coast of Maine. The year is 1782 and the American War for Revolution is in its last days. Longing for adventure\, Jim comes under the hypnotic spell of the legendary pirate\, Long John Silver. While waiting tables in the family Inn\, Jim finds a treasure map and\, with the villainous Silver as his seeming mentor\, sails uncharted seas with only the ragged map and a flock of Gulls as guides. Always up for adventure\, Jim’s Ruffian friends say farewell to their Village parents and serve as cabin boys for Silver and his band of hilarious (although unsavory) Pirate types. Once on the island\, nights are sleepless as true colors are revealed in our hero’s quest for the proverbial happy ending. SUMMARY:Alice in Wonderland Musical & Theatre Production
DESCRIPTION:Musical & Theater Production \nJuly 25 – 30\, 2022 \nPerham\, Minnesota \nUp to 75 youth\, ages 6 through 18\, from the surrounding communities will have the opportunity to participate in the production of Alice in Wonderland this summer.   Roles available are Alice\, The White Rabbit\, The Duchess\, The Cook\, The Cheshire Cat\, The March Hare\, The Dormouse\, The Jack of Hearts\, The King of Hearts\, The Caterpillar\, Tweedledee\, Tweedledum\, The Deck Of Cards\, The Flowers\, and The Birds.  ALL individuals registered will have a part in the play.  If you are not interested in “acting” on stage\, there are also positions available assisting the directors\, helping with costumes\, sound\, and lighting.   \nThe Prairie Fire Children’s Theater directors will work with the students through games and activities and then conduct the auditions as well as direct the production and play.   The audition process lasts up to two hours and all those auditioning are required to be in attendance for its entirety.  The cast will be announced at the end of the two-hour audition; each cast member will receive a rehearsal schedule for the remainder of the week.  A tentative schedule is listed below.  A portion of the cast will be required to stay following auditions for a short rehearsal.   Please bring a water bottle and a snack.    \nCostumes and make-up for all parts are provided.  Seating is general admission\, first-come\, first-serve.   Parents are invited to record this event if they wish.  There will be photos taken at the end of each show.  Tickets to the show: $5/adult and $2/students at the door (5 & under free).  The participation fee is $35. \nAuditions:  \nMonday\, July 25; 1:00 pm \nTentative Practice Schedule:  \nMonday\, July 25; 3-5:15 pm \nTuesday\, Wednesday & Thursday\, July 26\, 27 & 28; 1-5:15 pm \nFriday\, July 29; 3-7 pm \nSaturday\, July 30; 12:00-1:30 pm \nPublic Performances:  \nFriday\, July 29; 7-8:15 pm & \nSaturday\, July 30; 1:30-2:45 pm \nPerham High School Auditorium \nLINK TO REGISTER:\nhttps://frazee.revtrak.net/tek9.asp?pg=ws_redirect&Extra_params=newurl~eventDetail.html%3Fid%3D1262241
