Join us to learn all about horse care\, training\, grooming\, and the incredible therapeutic benefits horses offer. Participants will have the opportunity to groom\, feed\, and love on a special equine friend! SUMMARY:Snowmobile Safety Training
DESCRIPTION:Youth Snowmobile Safety Training Field Day\nLed by DNR-trained Volunteer Instructors\n      Certification is required by law for residents born after December 31\, 1976. An online youth snowmobile safety\ntraining class is optional and is an introductory class designed primarily for the snowmobile rider with little or no experience in\nsnowmobile operation. Students obtain and study the safety information on the interactive online course at their own pace in\nthe comfort of their own home under the guidance of a parent or guardian. Depending on the youth’s age and experience\, the\nonline course should take approximately 2-4 hours to complete.\n     Once they complete the online course\, students print out a “youth follow-up voucher” and register for a one-day\nSnowmobile Safety class in their area. The one-day class includes a classroom review of priority safety information and a\nperformance driving course. Each student will also pay an online DNR fee of $5.00 upon completion of the course. \nPLEASE NOTE: You will not be allowed to participate in the classroom review/performance test unless you have first\ncompleted the Online Snowmobile Safety Course. SUMMARY:Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) Training
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Mary Johnson\, Parent Aware Certified Trainer \nThis training is required by caregivers and foster care parents prior to providing care for infants and children under school age. This course gives caregivers information about how to prevent SUID\, such as laying infants on their backs\, not smoking around children\, and washing hands to prevent transmission of diseases to infants. SUID can strike without warning to usually seemingly healthy babies. Abusive Head Trauma training informs caregivers about the crime and its consequences. AHT can be caused by direct blows to the head\, dropping or throwing a child\, or shaking a child. Participants will leave with a certificate of attendance.
